Cape Canaveral

A cape is a strip of land that juts out into water. Cape Canaveral, located on Florida's Atlantic coast in Brevard County, is known as "The Space Coast." Many spacecrafts are launched from Kennedy Space Center on nearby Merrit Island. Cape Canaveral is also home to the Cape Canaveral lighthouse, a black and white Florida icon.
